Big Bang: The 33rd Chicago Jazz Festival Kicks Off on Labor Day Weekend

August is coming to the end and September is near, but this never means summer fun is drawing to the end! By the beginning of September, Chicago is ready for a big blaze, which will definitely heat the entire city with thousands of Jazz lovers nationwide! Yea, it is the annual big bang - Chicago Jazz Festival!

As a summer tradition on Labor Day Weekend, Chicago Jazz Festival has come to its 33 years, being the oldest lakefront music festival in the city. Throughout this four-day celebration, countless world famous or local artists will give genuine and intimate performances, all with FREE admission at multiple locations in Chicago.

As most performances are scheduled to take place in the open air, weather becomes a major concern for each year's festival. Given Chicago has that quirky and changeable weather, celebrations in the pouring rain, though unfavorable, actually happened during former Chicago Jazz Festivals. Then how about the weather indeed for this year's Labor Day weekend?

According to the latest weather forecast, on September 1 to 2, the weather in Chicago will be not as fine and comfortable as the past week. Starting from Wednesday, August 31, the temperature will climb back to 79°F and finally get to 90°F on September 1 and 2. However, a distinct drop to 81°F will occur on Saturday, September 3, and eventually falls to 76°F on Sunday, September 4, with the chance of a thunderstorm on both days. Thus, it is likely that this year's Chicago Jazz Festival will see the performances in the rain. But it is sure that even the thunderstorm can not get the parities cool down.
