Chicago has many attractions for kids, especially along the Gold Coast. Chicago's Gold Coast mainly comprises of the Children's Museum, Navy Pier, Chicago History Museum, Lincoln Monument and the Lincoln Zoo Park. So, you can drop by this coast and check out all these hotspots and make it a nice experience for your children as well.
Start off with the zoo park, which is one of the ancient zoo parks in the United States. There is a conservatory in the zoo that houses several species of flora and fauna. But, the main attraction of the zoo is the center for African Apes. After the zoo, you can take the kids to the nearby Lincoln Memorial, which is a tribute to the one of the finest leaders that the world has ever seen.
Moving from the memorial, you will come across the History Museum, where you can find many artifacts and paintings depicting the history of the city. The main attraction of the museum remains the exhibits of the Crossroads, which is a complete portrayal of Chicago. After some educational tour, it is time for fun and nothing will fascinate your child than the Children's Museum that has several wonderful hands-on experiences. Particularly the Playmaze and the Dinosaur Expedition is enjoyed by all the kids visiting this museum.
After, all these experiences, take the kids to the Lake Front, Navy Pier that was built at the time of the World War I to train the marines. However, the Pier is now a special retreat with boat docks, food courts, a 3D IMAX theater, gardens etc.
