Chicago is home to a number of golf courses for every skill levels, from the Championship level golfers to the beginners. Mentioned below are some of the popular golf courses to consider when on your travel to Chicago.

Harborside International Golf Center- For the serious golfers, the Harborside International Golf Center is the perfect one which is the upscale Championship golf facility of Chicago. This Chicago golf course has been designed by Dick Nugent on a landfill site and consists of two 18-hole courses, the Standard and the Port courses. The two golf courses are impeccably manicured and has a stunning club house. The two Par 72 courses are of 6589 and 6620 yards and has a number of Bunkers and an anchor shaped 15th hole.

Jackson Park Golf Course- The Jackson Park Golf Course is the premiere 18-hole facility of the Chicago Park District. This course which opened in the year 1899 has two lakes which can swallow errant shots on four of the holes. Most of the other holes are quite straightforward with not much hazards. The most difficult hole is the 559 yard at #14 because of its length. The tees shot at #38 and the second shot at #11 are over the water. The wide and long fairways of this course remind one of the South Side's former grandeur.

Cook County Forest Reserve Golf Courses- These consists of 11 Chicago golf courses. The most famous among them is the George W. Dunne National, which is its premier 18-hole course. This Par 72 course of 6690 yards has a renovated practice facility. The fairways are tree-lined and the eight lakes come into play on the course's most of the holes.

Cog Hill Golf and Country Club- This Chicago golf course was founded in the year 1927 by golfer Joe Jemsek. Popular among the serious golfers, it has tree lined fairways. The family owned golfing facility has four 18-hole courses with a state of the art driving range. The Course #4 is the Dubsdread course that is nationally ranked and where the Western open is played. The Cog Hill Golf Club is located southwest of Chicago.

The Green at Grant Park- Those who wants to practice a short game can play at the Green at Green Park which is located in Monroe street in Chicago. It consists of an 18-hole putting course which features true golf greens surrounded with bush gardens.

Robert A. Black Golf Course- This 9-hole Chicago Golf course is the newest course of the Chicago Park District. It has a Par 33 layout of 2,339 yard and has been designed by the famous designer Dick Nugent.
