Most of the hostels in Chicago are frequently visited during the tourism season. The hostels are accommodative to both the youth as well as parents as the rooms are sufficiently equipped to meet the needs and comfort levels of both age-groups.
About the hostels

The best and the worst things about the hostels as given by one of the interns include:
Best thing: A pan cake breakfast that is free- do it yourself
Worst thing: The place is almost too quiet. May be this was imposed by the staff or the travelers themselves.
All in all it could be the best place from the travelers since their travel Chicago may leave them all tired by the end of the day; such that they require a silent place for resting.
Bathrooms and showers are ever clean. The accommodative sleeping dorms are gender specific. They have lockers from which you can place your luggage. The staff here is quite friendly and runs the hostel very well.

The kitchen is really impressive with the presence of stove, so much cookware as well as utensils, ample dinning space, a counter and a refrigerator for food storage. The TV room is stocked with movies and speedy WI-FI connections among others.
