What are the best ways to get to MDW? As Chicago Midway Airport is just ten miles southwest of downtown Chicago, the airport can be easily reached via many modes of transportation in less than 30 minutes. You can choose the most convenient way as you prefer. You can find the airport is served directly by CTA orange line buses, downtown or suburban shuttles, regional buses, taxi and shared-ride vans.

1) If train services preferred: Chicago Midway International Airport is connected to downtown Chicago by the Chicago Transit Authority Orange Line. The Orange Line travels through southwest Chicago and the final destination is right the Loop. Midway is one of the few airports throughout the US that have rapid transit train service. You can board Orange Line trains at a station in the airport terminal. Tickets can be bought at the Midway Orange Line Station that is located near MDW right across Cicero Avenue.

2) By Taxi and shared-ride van: Taxis and shared-ride vehicles can be found outside the airport's main terminal. You should notice that taxis are available on a first come, first served basis.
