In the month of March, visitors can watch the theatre event called 'Billy Eliot' which is considered as the most celebrated show of the year. The Old Chicago Main Post office was built in 1921 and it was designed by Anderson, Graham, Probst and White. It is located near the Eisenhower Expressway and it is also easy to locate. In the year 1932, it was turned into a nine storey building over 60 acres or 2.5 million square feet of land. The Old Chicago Main Post Office building was also listed on the national Register of Historic Places in the year 2001.

This post office has been serving the people of Chicago with excellent postal service since the time it started. The post office building was also used for shooting a film named Batman Begins in the year 2004 and The Dark Knight in 2007. The Old Chicago Post office was auctioned for $40 million in 2009.
