The Richard J. Daley Center, better known as the Daley Plaza is one of the cultural and architectural highlights of the city of Chicago, IL. It was initially known as the Chicago Civic Center when it was opened in 1966.
The most important place at the Daley Center is the Cook County Circuit Court which is the largest in the state of Illinois. It is one of the largest unified court systems in the world with more than 2 million cases filed each year.
Another important place at the Daley plaza is the law library which has the largest collections of law books in the whole of the United States of America. The library boasts of statutes for all the 50 states in the country and also many foreign jurisdictions.
