Chicago Express Airlines
Chicago Airlines, also commonly known as Chicago Express Airlines, has its regional headquarter at Chicago. The airlines operated regional services from the Chicago Midway Airport. The services run under the name of ATA Connections.
In June 1999, the ATA Connections took over the Chicago Express for $1.9 million. The Chicago express then become a fully owned subsidy to the Amtran that latter came to be known as the ATA Holdings. It is now known with the name Global Aero Logistics, Inc.
The airlines had a line maintenance board at The Midway Airport, Chicago and a hangar maintenance board at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The hangar maintenance base then moved to South Bend Regional Airport in South Bend, Indiana in 2000.
