Among these, the Columbus Day falls on Oct 11th this year. This Day usually falls on the second Monday in the month of October and it is marked to pay a tribute to the first voyage of Christopher Columbus to America in 1492. Th history of this holiday can be dated back to the year 1792 when it was first celebrated.

The Marquette Building showcases a classic example of rich historical aspects of the Chicago School of Architecture. The building was named for Jacques Marquette who was a French Jesuit missionary of that time. The building was completed in the year 1895 and has been a famous historical landmark since then. It is located at the community area in Chicago, IL.

The building was the first of its kind steel frame skyscrapers of that time. The building had a good interior and exterior decor. The building had won many awards and accolades and was declared in the list of national Historical Landmark on June 9, 1975.
