Living in Chicago is such an awesome thing! Throughout the year, a wealth array of events, festivals and celebrations will hit the city in a multitude of venues. Some of these events are several days long, while others may stretch for a few weeks, making Chicago a fun-filled destination among event planners and goers.
When it comes to this mid-September, Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, with the generous support of Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, plus a number of organizations and companies, will present the 13th World Music Festival: Chicago September 15 through 22. This annual festival features a verity of celebrations of music at area parks, cultural venues, theaters, plazas and so far. Most of the performances come free while those ticketed concerts just require a nominal fee.
Additionally, the cool and sunny weather of this weekend is also a huge plus for this year's World Music Festival: Chicago! According to the latest updated weather forecast, Chicago is going to be partly cloudy and clear on this Friday to Sunday, with only 20% chance of precipitation on Sunday. So, slight chances are that the weather will get the weekend "parties" wind down! For hourly weather updates of Chicago, please click here.
