The admission fees for the museum are $8 for adults and children and $7 for the senior citizens. Children under the age of one are admitted free. The museum offers a special offer for the first group of people who comes first in the first Monday of every month.

The Chicago Children's Museum becomes a favorite of all kids who visit here. The aim or mission of this museum is to make a connection between learning and playing. There are many exhibits here which you can view everyday like the, Play It Safe, Inventing Lab, Kraft Artabounds Studio, BIG Backyard, Kids on the fly, Dinosaur Expedition, Skyline and many more. The kids will be more exposed to science, technology and engineering when they are brought here. Fridays in the month of June and July an exciting block party full of food, fun and frolic is specially arranged for the kids.
New events such as the Forts which would encourage building forts in different shapes and designs is coming up in the month of September. There are various programs arranged like the Early Learning, Earthy Wonders and Kids create. With the Early Learning program, Infants are given equal priority in this museum; various multisensory programs are arranged for them. The program called Earthy Wonders opens the kids to the natural materials of Earth whereas the program called Kids Create lets their imaginations create amazing things.

Its open everyday from 10 AM to 5 PM. On Thursdays, the museum hours are from 5 PM to 8 PM. You can visit this museum on every holiday except for Christmas and Thanksgiving.
2. What is the entry fee?
Children and adults have an entry charge of $10, for seniors its $9. For kids under the age of one, there is no ticket needed. On Thursday evenings, its free admission for all whereas on the first Sunday's of every month the entry of 15 year olds and younger is of no charge.
