What is the Importance of the City Hall in Chicago

Chicago's official center of government is the City Hall. It is an 11-story building which was designed by the firm Holabird & Roche in the year 1911. It's very close to the James R.Thompson Center and the Richard J. Daley Center. The City Hall contains the offices of mayor, clerk, office of the city treasurer, city departments, Chicago city council chambers (which comprise the west side of the City Hall building). On the east side of the building there are various offices of the Cook County and is also known as the County Building.

The City Hall is near the Washington, Randolph, LaSalle and Clark Streets.
