The South Side is a major section of the City of Chicago that is found in the Cook County, Illinois, US. The Chicago River and its branches divide the parts of the city that are referred to as sides. The Chicago South Side originally comprised all of the main branches south of the Chicago River. History of the Parade - The parade was established by two friends George Hendry and Pat Coakley. They never met until their early thirties when they moved to the Morgan Park community where they lived together and become founders of the parade.
