The Grant Park, spread over 319 acres is located in the Loop Community Area, Chicago. Designed in modern architecture, there are several attractions within the park like the Buckingham Fountain, Agora sculptures, the Millennium Park, the Museum Campus, and Daley Bicentennial Plaza. Among the many pubic events held here, the parks also plays host to the famous Chicago Blues Festival.

The Chicago Blues Festival is held in the Grant Park Chicago in the summer months every year. This is a three day event and famous blues musicians, both local as well as from around the world come here to perform. The Mayor's Office of Special Events, City of Chicago plays host to this famous event which attracts millions of tourists and blues music lovers not only from America, but from around the world.

Chicago is often called the Blues Music Capital of the World and the Blues Festival at the Grant Park proves that. The festival is dedicated to Muddy Waters, a blues icon also known as the Father of Chicago Blues. Every year, the organizers arrange special themes, usually dedicating to the recently demised famous blues musicians, on which the event is held. During the festival, musicians of various genres of blues music like blues rock, blues jazz, and blues soul perform here.

Some of the famous musicians that have performed in the Chicago Blues Festival are Albert King, BB King, Bobby Blue Bland, Eddie Boyd, James Cotton, Johnny B Moore, and Taj Mahal. This festival has been named as the Best Blues Festival by the Living Blues Magazine several times.
