The Art Institute Of Chicago is one such which can be said to be a complete encyclopaedia when it comes to fine art. The collection is unbelievable with a record collection of both Impressionist and Post Impressionist art. It also has European, American, Asian and a lot of contemporary art on display. It covers an area of 1 million sq ft making it the 2nd largest in U.S.

The National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum is another museum which should not be missed for the world. This place would take you back to the days of the Vietnam War. It has exhibits that are produced by the war veterans. Earlier it used to be a travelling exhibition but with the intervention of Mayor Richard M. Daley who was so immensely affected by it a permanent place was secured for the art works and the museum has remained there since. A visit to this museum is a moving experience with 58226 dog tags of American soldiers who died during the war being hung from the ceiling.
