The West Chicago Park District is the focus of tourist entertainment in the United States. It is sprawled over an area of 7,300 acres of parkland. There are 550 parks, 16 historical lagoons, 10 bird and wildlife gardens, 30 beaches, nine museums, two world-class conservatories. It stages numerous special events, sports, and summer camps.

The Lincoln Park happens to be Chicago's largest park. It stretches along Lake Michigan. The Lincoln Park Zoo reigns supreme among the tourist attractions. It is situated west of Lake Shore Drive at Fullerton Parkway. The CTA bus routes 151 or 156 would take you to the zoo. By car you should take the Left Shore Drive to the Fullerton Avenue exit. Next, you should drive west on the Fullerton one block to the parking entrance on left. There is no entry fee. The timings for admission are from 9am to 6pm.

The Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain is situated at Columbus Drive and Congress Parkway, in Grant Park. You can enjoy the dazzling music, light and water show from 8am to 11pm. The Ping Tom Memorial Park is located in Chicago's China Town on the south Bank of Chicago River. The Chicago Dragon Boat Race for Literacy tournament is the main event of this park.
